The role of music

When thinking about music and how it has had a role in my life, I have never actually appreciated it as much as I probably should. Would I ever be able to make a song? I think that is the hardest thing to do. Music is art. When your picturing lyrics in your mind, you are painting a picture of what it means to you. You are imagining if that song was written about you and what you would be doing and thinking. It has influenced me to appreciate it more. Music is not only instruments playing but also about what the lyrics mean to you. The instruments put you in a specific mood, either happy, free, independent, strong, and etc. Music is every single mood you could ever think of.
Picturing how music has changed and viewed my life is actually quite easy. There was one time when I was upset about a certain problem and didn't know how I would feel better. Not even thinking if it would make me feel better, I turned on my radio. A song was on that was perfect for my mood and make me feel at ease, which it did. It made me feel strong and free, like nothing else mattered in the world. I was in my own little world, and my world was perfect. Music affects all of us, either if its our next door neighbor or someone across the world. In our community, people are obviously affected by music. Everywhere you go, people are listening to music in their car or having a party somewhere with music booming out of the speakers. Music is all around us even if you don't see it. Children are singing different tunes they like, playing musical chairs, or dancing to their ballet recitals.
Even if it is not instruments playing, people around the world make music on their own with their hands or mouth. It is extraordinary the things people come up with. It is obvious that music affects everyone. It's not just one specific genre but multiple genre's that people are into. Music speaks to everyone and takes people to a different places they've never been to every time. If music was not around, people would not be as creative and there wouldn't be the art we have today. When thinking about whether music has affected the world or not, I always think of Michael Jackson's song "We Are the World" and "Black or White". Those songs speak out to anyone and everyone. Music has been able to unite people and end racism because we all need each other no matter what. Music has different purposes for all of us. It speaks to us in many different ways that makes us really appreciate music and everything around us.
I expect the theme of music to alter my understanding and appreciation greatly. I feel like I understand why music is around by picturing myself what I would do without it. Music talks to me and makes me appreciate it more now. Creating music isn't easy, it is unique and an art. Without music, we all wouldn't be who we are today, it is something that not everyone realizes how great it is to each and every one of us.

  1. I think the same as you, that to make a song is one of the hardest things to do in this life. I think everybody feels or imagine that particular lyrics were made especially for one. It happens when you listen to music, and it keeps telling you in your mind that this story is like your story, that the end of that story could be the end of yours, or that at the end is not so bad. Your experience with music makes me remember as mine. When I listen to a song that is one of my favorites or one that makes me remember a particular occasion, my mood can be changed. I use to listen to different kind of music, depend of my mood or the occasion, but at the end is the way I have to feel better if something is hurting me or to feel free if I have some concerns.
I think is very interesting when you speak about the music that can be making with not only instruments, but with hands or mouth. In my country, there is a city where everybody uses besides the different musical instruments, the spoons, yes, the same spoons we use to eat.
